Who am I?

My name is Jason Price.  I have been a stereotypical geek/computer nerd my entire teenage and adult life.  I took programming back in the day and then switched to client server network support.  I have been working in the IT field for the last 15 years and 13 of those so far are for a VERY large company and with broad responsibilities for a lot of different technologies from PCs to servers to databases and even phone systems.

My geekery spreads all throughout my personal life and can drive my wife insane.  She wants things to just work so I have the perfect testing ground as the requirements are VERY tough.  She is not geeky at all and I have to buy/set up things in a way that is easy to use.

Having spent all of this time working with technology also put me in direct contact with "the user".  This exposure is where I feel that I get the experience needed to truly comment and blog in the way that I hope to here.  I have seen first hand across a sizable chunk of time and across a broad spectrum of PC operating systems/applications, that the average person is no different today than they were in the early to mid 1990s.

People (users), want technology that "just works".  They also do not like change and they will only endure it if there is a MAJOR benefit.  Is there anything wrong with that?  Only in the eyes of a geek.  In reality, the desire of the average person is perfectly acceptable.

You will also find me around the Intertubes on forums and I always go by the handle/name of QUE3JXP.

I am on Twitter as jasonaaronprice

My gaming persona is wrapped around the handle "Joker Of Death".  It is a play off "Angel Of Death" and my highschool nickname of Joker.
