Zagg InvisibleShield... Or Why I am an Idiot...

Well, I was a total fool once again.  I decided to try ordering another screen protector but this time for my awesome new Samsung Galaxy S Vibrant (GT-i9000m).  It did not go well…

I ordered the custom skin for the back and the invisible shield screen protector for the front.  The back is fine this time as it has a custom graphic printed on it so there is no way to see installation imperfections.  The front, however is a total mess AGAIN.

There are what looks like tiny bubbles or dust all over the place and the screen protector has an orange peel surface to it so there are now little rainbows all over the place.  As a frame of reference, I have also recently ordered screen protectors from Boxwave and they are just awesome so this is not me being incompetent installing it.  These things are just near impossible to get on properly on the screen side of a device and even if they are, they are so not clear like they try to show on their web site.

I have gone to request a refund but there is an expectation that I PERSONALLY will have to pay for the shipping back and that it is to be with a trackable carrier.  I am in Canada and Zagg is in Utah.  This will end up costing me as much or more than the value of the refund.  This is a total ripoff.

From where I sit, I cannot EVER recommend InvisibleShield for ANY device ever again.  I can only recommend the custom graphic body protection and even then, given their crap returns policy for international customers, this is a “buyer beware” recommendataion.

As soon as Boxwave has a protector for my phone, I will order one of those.
