Great Little Apps

Here are a few apps that I have collected from suggestions and tips from various sources as well as years of systems support and development.  These include Security Now, Tekzilla and Overclockers.com.  Personally, some of these apps are so useful and handy that I have them on a USB key for whenever I reinstall a PC at home (Read: My Gaming PC) or just to have so that I can share them with others (I always have my 16 GB USB key with me).

Podcasts to your WinMo

For the last 2 years I have been listening to a lot of podcasts. It started with TWiT.TV and grew from there. I listen to at least 6 different shows a week while driving to and from work or while doing things where I can listen and still concentrate.  For that whole time, the biggest frustration has been getting the downloaded shows onto my device of choice in a reasonable amount of time from when they are posted and downloaded.  No more.

Christmas Idea: GPS

This past summer, my family and my parents jetted off to Orlando.  Well, we jettd in our cars as the price of gas is far less than plane tickets and a rental in Orlando.  Needless to say, we had never been on that long stretch of highway and all of those giant cities (We live in a small Canadian city).

Secunia is a comany that provides on major service to other companies:  They keep tabs on all of the security flaws and available patches for just about everything that Microsoft does not already take care of with their respective automatic updates in Windows and for Office.  Although, if you miss an update for Windows, Secunia PSI will tell you.
